Structural engineering (Essendon, VIC 3040)
For this Essendon residential project, Coveil delivered structural engineering focused on masonry and curved masonry elements, a concrete raft slab footing system, timber framing and steel portal frames, along with a suspended subfloor structure. We also supported façade structural requirements where façade elements required engineered support, framing or connection detailing. Our documentation emphasised clear framing layouts, tie-down/load path clarity, practical lintel/portal detailing and coordination with architectural intent—particularly important in inner-Melbourne sites with tighter access and staging constraints. Structural design aligns with NCC referenced standards for actions and materials (including AS/NZS 1170 and relevant masonry/concrete/steel standards).
Civil engineering / stormwater (Essendon – OSD + tank storage)
Coveil provided stormwater engineering including OSD and rainwater tank storage integration to meet required stormwater detention volumes while maintaining a clean, buildable layout. Hydrology and storage sizing follows ARR guidance, with council-ready detailing for pipework, pits, overflow and controlled discharge.
