Prahran Residence

Structural engineering (Prahran, VIC 3181)
Coveil provided structural engineering for a Prahran residence featuring masonry and curved masonry elements, a concrete raft slab footing system, lightweight timber framing and steel portal frames, plus a suspended subfloor solution suited to inner-city constraints. We supported façade structural requirements where architectural elements required engineered framing or support, and we coordinated structure with architectural intent to maximise internal space, openings and buildability. Design actions and member capacities were assessed within the NCC referenced framework, including AS/NZS 1170 for actions and relevant material standards for concrete/steel/masonry as applicable.

Civil engineering / stormwater (Prahran – OSD + tank storage)
Coveil designed a compliant stormwater management solution for the Prahran allotment incorporating on-site detention and rainwater tank storage to achieve required detention volumes in a restricted site footprint. Our documentation addressed controlled discharge, overflow management and council-ready detailing, with hydrology and storage sizing guided by ARR methodologies.
